X: hey Y, did u watched the match between MI and CSK yesterday, kya match tha yaar ?
Y: yeah, It was an awesome match ..
MI and CSK are now not the new words for the junta .. they are becoming the buzzwords, 2 of the 8 puppets playing under the graceful (Hand of GOD!!!), yea exactly BCCI ...
Go Jump .. if u r still not able to get the buzzword .. ohh yaa its IPL .. Indian Premier League .. the league has stepped into action, growing the anxiety of all the fans, lovers, followers to some unknown heights..
But is it exploring or exploiting?
since 1 week .. I'm watching the IPL very seriously (cursing now :) to see the Indian players gelled up with their foreign counterparts playing against each other under the big honchos of Indian B-n-B fraternity .. O dude its not Bunty n Babli .. its Bollywood n Business :) in their full swing, from Priety's bigger than her face sunglasses (just to say something) to Vijay Mallya's exclusive import of "cheerleaders" (though now they r going to be under some kind of scrutiny, as our own Shatru bhaiya have termed them as bar dancers .. better leave it) .. from King Khan's jhatkas and latkas on every four-six to a GENTLEMAN's nod being laid down by N.Srinivasan (the force behind Chennai Super Kings) on every good thing done by MSD's team ..
But still I've a question .. Is it exploring or exploiting ?
With some of the craziest-bravo-audacious names on the list n some close encounters .. the DLF IPL has already shown that they are going to rock the world ... with millions of moolah being spent on "everything" .. the IPL has made its place in everybody;s heart n mind .. King Khan going gaga on every move of his 11, making the cameraman more concentrated on him rather than game .. the never ending show of "cheerleaders" .. the unprecedented nature of the cricket from 60 to 50 to 20 overs game ... the whole world of cricket is changing, changing with the craziness .. n changing with the pace, with which people are accepting it, some of the legends being lamenting out that, World Cricket is going to be destroyed ..
so still I've a question .. Is it exploring or exploiting ?
With capital being raked in like any flowing river, the think thanks have done something very good for the Indian Cricket, the retired players, the direct/indirect profit gainers .. and also for themselves .. now when SRK is asked what are your future plans, so promptly he replies: "No focus on anything else, only IPL" .. so now that makes me a bit uncomfortable that, why yea I want to know why have they lavishly spent on this? U cant say to get the media galore .. U cant say to get more money .. U cant say for the benefit of the game .. (If u've some other solid reason .. do increase my knowledge :)
Now why I think it is exploiting .. I dont think that this kind of game can groom the younger players or somebody who is already into this from last n number of years, the real test is TEST .. 50 over .. with patience, grittness, attitude, leadership .. n many more managerial kinda terms are being shown .. while 20-20 is what I think, is a good opportunity for people like us to have their 4-5 hours of "gentle" entertainment both by game and "cheerleaders" (I'm emphasizing more on it :)
Now why I think it is exploring .. Players who were not known for their game ever in the Indian Cricket History .. have come to the Big Screen showing their talent n showing their ability to simply challenge the oppsition ..
so, still I'm in doubt .. is it Eing or is it Eing (pun intended)
know your game .. play your game .. but play safe :)
One thing that simply reckons me is the way the logos of the different teams are depicted .. n the way the names are selected .. Deccan Chargers to Kings X1 .. from RC Bangalore to Rajasthan Royals .. all of them are simply Knight Riding (SRK, how can I forgot u ??)
Being the Quizzically alarmed .. I am throwing one question .. What does J.K.H.P.H stands in the logo of Kings X1 Punjab . the J.K.H.P.H being written in the top line of the crest ?
No doubt: Comments are most welcome, Answer(s) too :)
